Dr. Heather Hong was born and raised in Southern California where she obtained her bachelor’s degree in physiological science from the University of California, Los Angeles. She then earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of California, San Francisco. During her time in the Bay area, she was the director of the Community Dental Clinic which serves homeless, members of substance recovery programs and victims of abuse. She later received her specialty training in periodontology and Master of Medical Sciences degree in oral biology from the Harvard School of Dental Medicine. While living in Boston, Dr. Hong conducted research in the area of bone regeneration in preparation for dental implants. She is a diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
Heather is an active member of the American Academy of Periodontology, the Academy of Osseointegration and the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society. Heather is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese. She and her husband Michael love to hike, cook, and watch movies.

Dr. Emilio Argüello obtained his dental degree, specialty training in periodontology, and Master of Science in Oral Science from Tufts University School of Dental Medicine in Boston, MA. Dr. Argüello is Board Certified and a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology. He has conducted extensive clinical and basic science research in periodontology at The Forsyth Institute and Harvard University in Boston. His research work in biofilm formation as well as the microbiology and clinical treatment of periodontal diseases earned him a NIH-National Research Service Award. He serves as a core faculty at the Harvard University School of Dental Medicine in the post-gradute periodontology program. Dr Argüello has faculty appointments in universities in the United States, Mexico and Europe. He has presented his clinical work and research nationally and internationally.
Dr. Argüello has co-authored textbooks as well as several scientific publications in peer review journals. He lectures extensively nationally and internationally and is an active member of many professional associations. In addition he serves as a reviewer of the Journal of Periodontology and for the International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry among others.
Dr. Argüello is fluent in Spanish and French. He enjoys outdoor sports, skiing and golfing. He was also part of the Olympic national team for fencing.
He actively collaborates with other specialists, locally, nationally and internationally for the constant improvement of the profession in benefit of patient care. He will provide personalized, attentive care to help achieve each patient’s individual oral health goals.

Dr. N. Guzin Uzel received her DMD from University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine and completed her Periodontology Certificate and Doctor of Medical Sciences (DMSc) degree at Harvard School of Dental Medicine. She also received her Certificate in Microbiology from The Forsyth Institute, where she has conducted many basic science and clinical research studies.
Dr. Uzel has published several peer-reviewed papers and co-authored book chapters on both basic science and clinical applications of periodontics and taught for several years at Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine where she served as the Clinical Director of Postdoctoral Periodontology. She is currently an assistant professor and Assistant Director of Predoctoral Periodontology at Tufts University School of Dental Medicine and a reviewer for the Journal of Dental Education.
She maintains a private practice limited to Periodontics and Implantology in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology.
